Eucalyptus, ornamental grasses, clematis, petunias, marigolds, and cosmos were used to create lovely ecoprint one-of-a-kind scarf 098. Each ecoprint is a unique piece of art created from nature by bundling and steaming plant materials into the cloth. No inks, dyes or paints are used...just the colors from the flowers and leaves themselves.

The ecoprinting process involves direct contact of the plant materials to the cloth and steaming the scarf to set the dyes ; this often results in minor wrinkles and creases, which are considered part of the character of the scarf, and contribute the inherent beauty inspired by nature.

The bottom of each scarf has unique lined markings where the string was tied around the scarf as it steamed. This is often my favorite part.

Fiber content: Sandwashed Silk Crepe de Chine. This fabric has body, drapes gracefully, and is soft next to the skin.

Measurements: 72 inches long by 14 inches wide.

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and lay flat to dry. Wear crinkled, or lightly iron at silk setting...and remember, wrinkles have character!
