Hand Dyed Ecoprint Long Silk/Wool One-of-a-Kind Scarf in Red, Orange, Blue
$85.00
Petunias, dahlias, cosmos, and eucalyptus are the flowers from my garden used to create lovely ecoprint one-of-a-kind scarf 095. After the flowers were laid on the fabric, the natural dye 'madder' was sprinkled on prior to bundling. Each ecoprint is a unique piece of art created from nature by bundling and steaming plant materials into the cloth.
The ecoprinting process involves direct contact of the plant materials to the cloth and steaming the scarf to set the dyes ; this often results in minor wrinkles and creases, which are considered part of the character of the scarf, and contribute the inherent beauty inspired by nature.
The bottom of each scarf has unique lined markings where the string was tied around the scarf as it steamed. This is often my favorite part.
Fiber content: 63% Silk, 37% Wool. This blend is slightly warmer than silk, and very soft...it's lightweight and drapes gracefully.
Measurements: 70 inches long by 14 inches wide. Hand-hemmed.
Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and lay flat to dry. Wear crinkled, or lightly iron at wool setting...and remember, wrinkles have character!
This garment ships USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation in the US.
